Women's World Title race comes down to the wire

WSL Updates

Sally, Tyler, Courtney, Carissa and Steph are all contenders

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 23 November, 2017 - The 2017 Women's Title Race is set to be one of the most exciting in history. Why? Because there's five contenders who all have a shot.

There's three frontrunners - Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS), Tyler Wright (AUS), and Courtney Conlogue (USA) - with a simple task: win the Maui Pro, win the title.

In addition to beating each other, they'll have to get past all the big name threats on tour.

Take Steph Gilmore (AUS) and Carissa Moore (HAW) for example: They're both living legends who LOVE surfing at Honolua Bay. They can still win the Title by winning the competition and hoping the other contenders get knocked out early. They'll be going all out from the very start.

That gives us Sally, Tyler, Courtney, Carissa and Steph all with a shot at the trophy. So when any two of them meet in Maui, one thing's for sure: someone's title hopes will be on the line.
