One of the first tow-specific sites get revamped for 2017 and beyond

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 29 April, 2017 - One of the original big-wave websites, announced a recent makeover. The site is run by Eric Akiskalian who, in the words of Garrett McNamara is calculated and confident in big surf.

Akiskalian has over 25 years global big wave surfing and industry experience. With a list of XXL Big Wave entries and nominations to his name,  Eric has become one of the most respected and dedicated big wave tow-in surfers, promoters, water safety drivers and international logistics specialist in the industry. While he continues promoting the sport he loves, he’s also assisting in keeping other surfers safe while running water safety when ever needed.

Eric also owns, which has been a leading big wave surfing website he founded in 1998 to promote the sport, the athletes, contests, news, interviews and ocean safety. With the ever changing tech world and internet curve of promoting on social media and other platforms, has been redesigned with a new fresh new look, offering new services and PWC safety products for the big wave rider and ocean safety professionals.

“I have known Eric Akiskalian of for over 15 years and I have traveled to many global big wave destinations with him as well," said Garret McNamara. "Over the years, he has demonstrated his dedication, expertise, time and passion to promoting our sport and keeping surfers safe with assisting in water safety and rescue. As of recent, I have personally had him work with me in Nazare, Portugal and Mavericks, CA for water safety, assist and rescue for our crew."
